Please Don’t Hang Out In Front Of The House

December 9, 2010

This is a two-pronged electronic missive directed at those with (even the faintest) interest in our humdrum coterie.  The first prong involves a collection of songs put together with the purpose of scything drinks that give you wings and raising high to the roofbeams the notion of (literally) underground rock and roll.  To put it more plainly: we were asked by a man named Aaron of Marathon and Attica Attica fame to be one small part of a digital sampler that deals with house shows and how raucously awesome they are.  So we obliged.  The result can be seen at the don’t hang out in front of the house website.

The other prong of this attack (and when I say “prong,” all I’m thinking about is the cover to Live From Camp X-Ray) is more of a rehashing than anything else.  We are playing this Saturday night at the FYF Christmas Show.  The flier is already all over this site, so I’m not going to post it again.  But we’d enjoy your presence.  Bear witness to the fifth drummer of this band’s illustrious career.  Bear witness to Tim’s new bachelorette.  Bear witness to Justin’s grimace.  For my part I will offer firm handshakes and wry smiles.  Promise.

That’s all.  I feel like maybe I’ll point you in the direction of this Gary Lutz reissue, but I don’t know what you’ll think about it.  What is on your holiday wish list?  I vote hummus and ice worms.

Al
