Sincerely, Dangers.

July 7, 2010

Dear Australia,

While I’m usually remiss to speak on behalf of others, I can safely say that we’ve all probably just concluded the best tour we’ll ever get to have.  You are beautiful, underpopulated, impressively drunk (so to, go I, when in your embrace) , smell pretty, and are well vegan-stocked.  Sydneysiders, if you’ve not been to Zig Zag haircuts (10 dollars and 10 minutes), you’re not appreciating your locale.

To be fair, your tobacco is wildly expensive and your speed limits boggle the mind (62 mph on a 7-hour stretch… get serious).  Further, Melbournians, you have an angry angry man in your midst who nearly murdered half of our troupe over a (decidedly tasty) falafel roll.

Indeed, many thanks are owed, with Daniel Misztal of Strike Hard Bookings being the most deserving.  You spoiled the shit out of us and found a way to have every show be something special.  Also A.J., Izzy, Mike, Fim, Adi, Mikey, Anouchka, Chloe, Rio, Jacob, Martinelli! (who I don’t really need to thank b/c that motherfucker will undoubtedly show up on the corner in a day or two), Richard, Sydney police at Club Blink, Orange paramedics from the house show, Skunkle Tom, & c.

Again, your hospitality was unending, and you’re much appreciated.

Be well,

Zing! Mark down one well earned (not to mention well researched) point for Tommy! Kyle was significantly disappointed that he didn’t get to meet and talk shop with you. Wish we’d have had a bit more time in Melbourne. At some point you’re going to need to sneak back for a bit in the states (if not just for a new bike) and at that time you should base yourself from S.F.

Canberra – Melbourne drive with the shitty speed limit was terrible. Missed card games while you flew. Bastard.

Will remember the tour for many years to come! See you guys in the US soon (hopefully)

The Sydney shows were fun, in all seriousness I wish I followed you guys around instead of Ruiner, you were much kinder and the shows had a lot more energy.
On that note please don’t do what Ruiner did and break up in the next week, (like they did after they got back from Australia.)
Hopefully I can come over and catch a couple more shows, or if you guys come back next year that would work too 🙂
Oh & sorry for choking you Al.

P.S Matt Kneller piggy backed me on my 18th birthday because I was too drunk to walk and my feet hurt. What a guy, backed hard!

We tend to drink a lot when it is cold to warm up and drink a lot when it is warm to cool down… Any excuse really. Maybe next time you’ll be here for beer ‘n’ barbie season.

Unfortunately, and to my great dismay, i missed you kind sirs perform in Sydney as i was physically incapcitated (spinal injury). I dearly hope you guys return to our glorious shithole in the near future. You guys make this unfathomable world seem that much clearer. You tell it like it is instead of selling out.
    Kind regards, Jordan
